What is the supply pipe?

The supply pipe is the water pipe that connects the water main stop tap, (normally found on the pavement) and the internal stopcock. The pipe may be made of plastic, lead, copper, or cast iron.

The person responsible for the pipe has a responsibility to ensure that this pipe is not leaking. The local water authority has the power to insist on investigation and repair, or they can do the work without permission and send the landlord the bill.

Have you been served with a notice?

If you have been served with a notice informing you that you have a potential leak it is important to act now.

If you don’t, there may be costs incurred from a number of channels or significant damage to property should the leak continue. It is important that the dangers of water escape are not underestimated.

How Do We Find A Supply Pipe Leak?

Our engineers are trained and equipped with the latest equipment on the market to locate a supply pipe leak.

This new technology can, and very often will, pinpoint the location of an underground leak to an area within centimetres and furthermore will identify the depth of the pipe that is damaged.

Although we can, it’s very rare that we need to use other methods such as acoustic devices or tracer gas.

Our kit is clean, safe, eco-friendly, and extremely accurate, so you can feel confident that the job will be done as efficiently as possible.

Why use Trace & Access UK?

The major advantage of our system, in comparison to that of many other trace and access experts in the UK, is that the excavation is kept to an absolute minimum.

We pride ourselves on our professionalism, our quality of service, and our position at the forefront of the market, with safe and reliable technology a core of our operation.
